Bidrage med feedbackFirstly, the shrimp I received had a terrible, off-putting smell. A lesson learned: always smell your food before eating it! Unfortunately, a few hours later, I ended up being sick, which I suspect was due to the shrimp. After I returned the shrimp, I decided to order shrimp lo mein, thinking they wouldn’t serve me bad shrimp again. Sadly, I found a piece of metal in my lo mein that I actually bit into after eating most of the dish. While the lo mein itself was tasty, the discovery ruined my experience. I informed my waitress and even took a picture of the metal, but I didn’t receive any apologies and was presented with a bill that didn’t reflect my issues. Given my history as a regular customer and having had both spoiled shrimp and metal in my meal, I felt I deserved at least a partial compensation. When I approached what I thought was the owner or manager, he offered to take $10 off my bill after a brief discussion. Despite explaining my loyalty as a long-time customer, he seemed irritated and ultimately said he would remove the entire cost of my meal. The woman with him, presumably his wife, became very upset, slammed the table, and started speaking in their native language, clearly angry about the discount. The exchange escalated, and after I used some choice words in response to her rude behavior, she threatened to call the police on me after I called her a "female dog" and criticized her customer service skills. Overall, while the food itself isn't bad, the staff doesn’t seem to care if they serve spoiled food or even something unsafe like metal, and they get upset when held accountable. I believe they also own Ming Ying in Long Branch, and I would strongly advise against dining at any of their establishments. It raises serious concerns about food safety and cleanliness, and I think a health inspector should be notified.
I am utterly disappointed with my experience at Mizu and the attitude of the staff there. While the food was decent and the location near ShopRite is convenient for me, the service was unacceptable, especially from the older woman at the reception. She was consistently rude, unfriendly, and seemed irritated whenever I interacted with her. It's clear she is unhappy in her role, but that's no excuse for treating customers so poorly. Today was my last visit. After a long week at work, I left feeling miserable on a Friday evening. I had ordered four bubble teas to go, along with some expensive food. I specifically requested no ice due to having a bad cold, but she forgot and added ice instead. I thought it would be simple to exchange them, but her response was anything but professional. She was visibly annoyed with my request and treated me poorly, raising her voice, banging items, speaking in her native language, and even threatening to refund my money instead of correcting her mistake. I felt humiliated as she made a scene in front of other customers and staff. It was completely disrespectful. To make matters worse, she started opening the bubble teas and pouring them into different containers that didn’t look clean, all while creating a mess and handling everything with questionable hygiene. I asked her to make new drinks, but that only escalated the situation. She ended up making them hot, presumably out of spite, and I ultimately threw them away when I got home. What a terrible experience! The attitude and demeanor of that lady were just unacceptable. It was a shocking display of negativity. I hope she can find a way to be more professional in the future.
The ambiance is delightful, and there's ample parking in the shopping center. The food was quite tasty, though it could have been served a bit warmer. The service was attentive. It also seemed like takeout was quite popular. I would certainly be willing to return for another visit.
I visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend and opted for the "all you can eat" special, but I was surprised to find that there was an extra charge for any leftovers. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat a single bite because the sushi was either spoiled or of such poor quality that it was inedible. As I was with a new acquaintance, I didn't want to raise a complaint at the time, but I found the food unacceptable. It's really disappointing for a place like this. Service: Dine-in Meal Type: Lunch
The sashimi was not fresh, which was disappointing. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3.
