14 family members enjoyed an outstanding meal together. All the appetizers were mouthwatering; the ribs were especially delicious and the firecracker shrimp and crab cake were to die for! I think we had every steak on the menu in every size. Everyone was pleased. My filet mignon was perfectly medium rare and so flavorful. The sides we had were yummy potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The cheese sauce was very creamy and the blend of cheeses was spot on. We tried every dessert on the menu. Our favorites were the cheesecake, crème brûlée, sorbet and gelato. Our server Sarah did a wonderful job of caring for large group ranging in age from 2 to 88. I would recommend a night at Shkode to any family. We have been excited to eat here for quite some time. My fiancé got received a promotion so we decided to celebrate. We thought it was odd that the nearby restaurant in the casino, CBK, was slammed with a 20 minute wait and there was hardly anyone at Shkode. Our service was ok, not the best but also not the worst. I got the 10 ounce filet and I was quite disappointed with the size. I was certain that I was given the 6 ounce instead of the 10 but I saw a 6 ounce go by, which looked like 3 ounces, and I knew that their sizing was quite off. My fiancé got the Chilean sea bass at the recommendation of the server and it was horrible. It was served with an embarrassing small amount of asparagus and looked like it was in a light green mud puddle. It smelled terrible, like it was old. My fiancé ate about half and that was all she could stomach. My steak was supposed to be medium rare but came out more medium than anything. It was seasoned well and tasted ok. Overall, we were supper disappointed. We have some friends who frequent the casino and they also said we should have saved our money and gone elsewhere. Shkode is not very good and really pricey for what you get. You’re better off going to a true steakhouse. As billed as a chophouse I had high expectations. I go to several chophouses throughout the year in the west Michigan area, sadly this chophouse is near the bottom of my list and was below average . The ribeye I had was cooked right (rare), however was bland, and tasteless seemed to have no seasoning not even salt and pepper. No good sear on it to lock it in and pale looking. The mac and cheese I had was good but not very warm. The service was below average as well for a chophouse it seemed, wasn’t terrible but not great. Visited this Restaurant a few weeks ago it was the worst experience ever! The waitress stopped by our table once and then disappeared for approximately 30 minutes.
