Four Roses Cafe - Plainwell

This place was recommended when I asked on Facebook. Service was great, atmosphere was great, dessert was delicious.

We were celebrating our anniversary on a Friday evening, and it was packed. We made reservations, as we have been wanting to come here for quite some time. We ordered the cranberry pecan brie with toast as an appetizer, which was delicious! For dinner, we had the chicken and rice dish (can't remember the name no longer on menu) and the Bell's Braised Beef. It was outstanding!! Of course, we had to get desserts (made in house). We ordered the peanut butter pie and the sticky toffee pudding. They were absolutely amazing!! The food, service, and overall experience was very good!! If they were closer to us, it would easily be added into our restaurant rotation! Update 8/14/24: Visited to celebrate our parents' anniversary. Again did not disappoint! We ordered: Boursin Stuffed Portobello and of course the brie Chili Rubbed Flank Steak w/Gorgonzola Cream Jalapeno Relish Roasted Pork Tenderloin w/Smoked Maple Sage Vegetarian Potato Pea Curry and Turtle Cheesecake. Great service and great experience!

Why would you ruin “farm to table” food with canola oil? it makes me question if in fact the fare offered is indeed farm to table. confirmed this evening with the host, two of the waitstaff, and a cook that indeed canola oil is used to cook with in the kitchen. low grade oil. I realize most patrons will not care about this, but it is hardly fine dining if cheap oil is used to prepare the dishes.

We love this place. Great food and service everytime

Absolutely one of the best dining restaurants in SW Michigan. Chef's are spot on with proper selection and seasoning. A must stop.
