Com Tam Dao Vien - Toronto

At times, this restaurant is excellent, but other times I have received poor service and a dismissive attitude. The food is decent with no major complaints, but there are better dining options further west on Gerrard Street.

First time I have been here, my sister spoke very highly of this place. Was a busy place buy very fast service. We ordered pho soup and you have the option of fresh or dried noodles. We ordered fresh and it was the best pho...noodles I have ever had. The broth was outstanding and is a must try. Almost everyone there was eating pho soup! Amazing can't wait to go back.

I like Vietnamese food in general, so it's not hard to have a nice experience going to eat Vietnamese. This restaurant, however, disappoints me time and time again. This time, the vermicelli was off, funny tasting, one bite and I had to give it back....They replaced it with a pho, and that was just mediocre. You may ask why do I keep coming back, it's because there are days when I just want to walk into a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant, and have some comfort food. The fragrance of the grilled food is so good, that whenever I walk by, I'm tempted to go in. And then I remember how I did not like the food last time there, I usually don't go in. There are days like today, when I'm tired, I just want something simple to eat, and I thought to myself, there is no way they can mess up a simple bowl of vermicelli with grilled pork, I'll just order that and it would be fine. And what do you know, they manage to ruin that simple dish, because they served vermicelli that is off. So, very disappointed. And they did not seem very sorry about it. They looked at me as if I was the picky customer.

This restaurant has the best pho in the city, no doubt about it! I have visited many pho places, but I always find myself returning here. Their food is quick, delicious, and definitely worth a try!

My wife and daughter are vacationing in Toronto and we went for lunch at the Com Tam Vietnamese Cuisine. We ordered chicken Chowmein with crispy noodles, chicken fried rice, and charbroiled pork vermicelli with spring rolls. Very tasty and delicious.
