As we approached the town, we couldn't resist checking out the bubbles we spotted! SR BBQ features outdoor dining in individual clear tents, or "bubbles," all equipped with heaters. The BBQ pulled chicken was fantastic, and the hearty toasted cornbread was delicious! To top it all off, the chocolate chip lava cake was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful dinner experience. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love ribs, and these were, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. I rarely give 5-star ratings, but these ribs were outstanding. The service was excellent, while the atmosphere was pretty decent. I also tried the banana cream pie for dessert, but it was just average.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Smoky Rock! The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome. Our waitress was fantastic and very kind. We chose to dine outside under a lovely canopy, where we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary chicken soup to start. The food was outstanding—some of the best BBQ brisket and ribs I’ve ever had, even compared to Texas BBQ! I also loved the sweet potato fries and cornbread. If you enjoy smoked BBQ, I highly recommend Smoky Rock!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant while visiting Rhinebeck over Memorial Day weekend. We were seated outside on the porch, which was lovely. We enjoy having an assortment of different bbq meats instead of just one large serving of one meat, and we wanted to try their made-in-house pastrami, so we ordered the Smoked BBQ Sampler appetizer and a pastrami sandwich (which comes with your choice of a side) to share. We had LOTS of food, and it was all AMAZING!! If you are a pastrami lover, you have GOT to try this melt in your mouth pastrami. I have honestly never had better! As our side with the sandwich, we chose the sweet potato fries, which came with a maple dipping sauce.... SO DELICIOUS!! We can't wait to come back again!

We have been here several times over the years as the bbq was always good, but have no been here since since COVID. We walked in and found no one at the entrance. We waited 5 and no employee ever showed up so we left. But maybe it was for the best as we saw the menu while waiting and the prices seem to have at least doubled. Hope the food and service improved.
