We visited the Catskills for the first time and, based on the reviews, decided to have breakfast at this restaurant. The interior is decent with ample seating. However, the service wasn't as friendly as one would expect from a family-run establishment. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland, and nothing stood out as special. I would suggest to the owner that they consider changing their orange juice, as it tasted more like Sunny D than fresh juice.
I was really hoping to enjoy this restaurant more, but I was quite disappointed. The atmosphere and cabin-like decor are lovely, but the food and service didn’t meet expectations. Our server was rather rude and inattentive, spending more time chatting with a friend than attending to the two tables that were seated. The food was mediocre, especially considering the prices. Two orders in our group were either incorrect or missing items. It was also noticeable that some dishes had been microwaved. To top it off, all the meals were served on paper plates. Overall, we left feeling unfulfilled by our experience.
Perfect road trip stop. Felt homey, clean, and authentic. The food, served on paper plates, was really really good!
Cozy spot to grab a bite when camping or staying at one of the resorts in the area. Fair prices, generous portions, all made fresh and delicious. Love the Buffalo Chicken sandwich for lunch, or pancakes for breakfast, depending on the time of day.
