Hangtown Cantina - Placerville

Great! Primarily Mexican food, but there is a small menu from their sister restaurant consisting of typical American food. I had the burger and the rest of our party ordered food from the Mexican menu. Food was delicious and service was excellent and friendly. Because of staffing issues they are operating at limited capacity which impacts their hours of operation. Should call ahead.

The food here is DELICIOUS. If you are looking for hot, fresh, clean and crispy Mexican mix that is the place for you! You have fantastic bar offers and the drinks are sooo good and don't even let me go to the fresh, in the house CHURROS with handmade caramel sauce! RIDICULOUS! I am a local, there were many times and satisfied every time! Try them out and support locals. One of my favorite spots on Main St. and REALLY friendly staff also!

After enjoying a lovely ride, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The Chili Verde was some of the best I've had in a long time - it was delicately spicy and cooked perfectly. The rice and beans were also delicious. The staff was very attentive and efficient. Overall, it was definitely worth the stop.

Expensive! Im from hangtown. Moved to bay area 25 yrs ago. I felt like they are trying to make it a fancy over priced bayarea resturant. Thats a no husband daughter didnt like the food i did n my other daughter did. We all agreed portions were to small.
