Snooze, An A.m. Eatery - Phoenix

I had a fantastic experience at this breakfast place. Everything from the moment we walked in to being seated and greeted by our server was excellent. The restaurant had a great design with options for outside patio seating, round booths, long bench seating, chairs, and counter top seating. The server was friendly and had a great personality. We even received a complimentary upside down butter cinnamon dish, which was delicious. The portion sizes were generous, the food was flavorful, and the music was enjoyable. The prices were also reasonable. I even posted a video on YouTube called Kevin's Korner to share my positive experience.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday morning around 11:30am and there was a one-hour wait, but it was definitely worth it. While waiting, we wandered around the parking lot and did some shopping. Once they texted us, we were seated and the service was fantastic. We chose to sit outside, where it was a bit breezy, but they had propane heaters to keep us warm. The food came out hot and fresh, just as always. My wife ordered the half order of shrimp and grits with potatoes, scrambled eggs, chorizo, and avocado. I opted for the scramble with chorizo, bacon, pickled peppers, tomato, and spinach, along with a peach cobbler pancake topped with real fresh peaches. It was absolutely sensational!

I would give this restaurant a 3.5 star rating. The ambiance is fantastic, with a cool retro feel. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. The menu offers a variety of unique options that are interesting. The food reminds me of a chef competition show, with the restaurant aiming for greatness but falling just short. The hash browns were well-seasoned but too salty, and the sweet potato pancakes were almost delicious if not for a slightly burnt side that affected the overall flavor. I would give this place another try, as perhaps the chef was just having an off day.

Service with Ashley was great! Kids were happy with their meals. We were celebrating a bday. Wish the bacon was cooked more evenly. Some pieces were soft and others crispy. Sausage link were a little spicy for the kids. Danish pancakes were super rich in flavor. Hashbrown was my favorite. Asked for an over medium egg, but it was over easy.

Perfect place to go after hiking in south mountain. What can be better than mimosas with a smashed avocado Benny? The only reason I did not give a 5 star review is because I hate wasting food and it isn?t on the menu nor was I told you can order half portions. Loved that you can get on the wishlist online. Great breakfast will definitely go again.
