The Keg Steakhouse Desert Ridge

We've been coming to The Keg for years, and have always enjoyed the experience. Last night was no exception. Our server was polite, attentive, and very pleasant. He did forget to enter our appetizer, for which he accepted blame, and apologized. That aside, he did a nice job. We will certainly return to The Keg, and recommend it to our friends and family.

Normally its excellent but this time the order was wrong, the calamari tasted fishy and the lobster tail was small and boiled, not broiled like it usually is so it tasted like a frozen tail w no flavor.

Normally we love the keg. Made reservations for my husband and I to celebrate his milestone birthday. They put us in the back corner of a room off the main dining room. It felt like we were having dinner at a retirement home. It was very brightly lit in comparison to the main area. It was hard to have a conversation because all the tables around us had hard of hearing folks or young children. It certainly wasn't the vibe we were accustomed to from other recent visits. Sadly, it'll likely be the last time we go there.

I don't think the food quality is on par with the price. The crab cakes were just ok but I actually had better a couple weeks ago from a food truck. I ordered my steak well done, it was basically charred and was was a struggle to even cut I didn't eat it. The snow crab legs completely lacked seasoning. The cauliflower mash was more like a crumble should had more of a whipped consistency. The green beans were fine but carrots were grossly under cooked. Over all a a very underwhelming meal that left me disappointed. The Sangria and the the wait staff were the shining stars of my experience. Would I return? No.

Fantastic steakhouse without the high prices! We enjoyed a lovely prime rib dinner with salad and a side for $45. Not bad at all in today's world. Our server Sophia Gray was awesome! Very helpful and attentive.
