Captain D's - Orlando

I've been here 3x's in the past 3 weeks... let me tell you... they are ON TOP OF THEIR GAME... everytime, wait staff is incredibly polite and efficient... everytime, they ask if I want to add on shrimp, everytime, the togo order is accurate andHOT... I'm looking for trouble baby, can't find any yet! LOL ???? Khianti took my order this week... more updates to follow;cause I'm LIKE THAT ;

To be honest, the food was pretty bland. It felt like there was too much baking powder or baking soda in the dishes. The spiciness was imbalanced, more like they just poured in a lot of cayenne pepper without consideration. The baked potato was extremely dry and tasteless, lacking even a hint of salt. The only dish I liked was the okra. The crab cake was very dry, and the hush puppies were just okay. I definitely wouldn’t order any of this again.

I was disappointed with my meal. The food arrived cold, the baked potato was tough and seemed old, the cheese was clumpy and hard, and the jalapeño poppers were rubbery. The stuffed crab mainly consisted of breading and had a stale oil flavor. The hush puppies were also rubbery, and the funnel sticks were soggy with too much powdered sugar. The only redeeming aspect was the cole slaw, which was tasty.

There's a great variety of dishes to choose from. The prices are reasonable for the quality. It's always a bonus to have vouchers available!

I've been enjoying Captain D's for over 30 years, and it's always been a delight. The food is excellent, and the staff is always friendly.
