La Gran Victoria - Newberg

La Gran Victoria is my culinary discovery. I truly can't believe such incredible food comes from a food truck in Newberg. The meals were absolutely delicious, made so fresh that we could hear the preparation from outside the truck. It didn't take long for our food to arrive: four tacos (two were tripa), two large chile rellenos, rice, beans, half a liter of Coke, and dessert—all for under $40. Incredible! After finishing my meal, I took a moment to thank Victoria, the owner of the truck, for the amazing food. We struck up a conversation where she shared her story of saving up to buy the truck by selling tamales, cooking despite having carpal tunnel syndrome, and the challenges she faces being a monolingual Spanish speaker while running her business and supporting her family. She expressed that despite these obstacles, it’s all worth it because she gets to prepare and share the food she loves. Her passion really shone through in each dish. While the truck itself may have seen better days, the food that comes from it is nearly perfect. I will definitely be returning often—whether I'm missing home or need a hangover remedy after a long Saturday, La Gran Victoria will be my go-to spot. I highly recommend everyone give it a try and show the staff plenty of understanding and appreciation.

I've been visiting this restaurant for a while now and I have no complaints! The food is delicious and it's served quite quickly, especially when it's not too busy.

The customer service was extremely poor, the cleanliness was lacking, and my food tasted stale. I certainly won't be returning here.

This restaurant is our favorite spot. You absolutely have to try the gorditas! I've seen some reviews mentioning issues with customer service, but I find the staff to be incredibly friendly and they even remember our order by now. I usually don't write reviews, but I noticed they only have a 3.9 rating, and they definitely deserve better!

The food was quite good, but when I typically have a chile relleno, the cheese is melted; here it was more like a solid block. However, it still deserves 3 stars for its taste and presentation.
