When I called for assistance, I was informed that I had entered the address incorrectly, even though it's already saved in my account. They basically told me it was my fault and that I was out of luck.
I really appreciate being able to grab a vegan veggie pizza when I'm on the go. The staff here are incredibly friendly and kind. They now recognize me and are always very sweet when I come to pick up my order.
However, 45 minutes later, the food still hadn't arrived. I reached out to ask if it was on its way and was told that the driver had to make a different delivery before mine, but that my order would be delivered soon. I waited an additional 30 minutes, and when I called again, I was assured that the driver would arrive shortly. This back-and-forth continued multiple times. At 10:45 PM, I was told that my food would arrive soon, and after waiting another 15 minutes without any food, I checked in again. The manager promised it would be delivered in six minutes or I would receive a full refund. Ten minutes later, my food finally arrived, but when I requested a refund due to the terrible experience, the manager said they could only provide store credit and not a refund. To top it all off, I ended up getting food poisoning from the meal that arrived over three hours after my original order. Not only was I falsely accused regarding the delivery issue, but I also received what I believe was improperly handled or dangerously unsafe food. It will be a significant time before I consider ordering from here again, if at all. I share this review not only to inform other customers about the difficulties I faced with this restaurant but also to highlight how the staff may respond when they are held accountable for their mistakes.
If I could give this place zero stars, I definitely would. This is by far the worst location I've ever dealt with. Never order from them at night, as they frequently cancel orders without delivering food or even bothering to communicate at all. I've noticed many others in the comments mention waiting 1-2 hours for their orders. I live just down the road and ordered at 10:30 PM, but my food never arrived. There have also been times when I waited more than 2.5 hours for my food. I’ve been a fan of Papa John’s for years, but this location has completely ruined that experience for me. I’m now going to order from Domino’s until I move and hopefully find a better option. There’s also zero communication; all the delivery estimates are inaccurate. The management at this place needs to make some serious changes or face being fired.
I requested a no-contact delivery, but the driver repeatedly rang my doorbell and knocked very hard on two different doors of my house. Being wheelchair-bound, I was struggling to reach my security cameras. When I informed the driver that I did not want contact delivery and asked him to leave my order, he insisted that I sign for it. I explained that I wouldn’t open the door because I didn’t want to risk catching a virus from someone I didn’t know. He laughed and said that if I didn’t sign, he couldn’t prove I received my order. I told him to take it back because I refused to open the door. He ultimately left my order on the doorstep and hurried away. When I called the restaurant to report the issue, I learned why the driver acted that way. The manager was rude and condescending, telling me that their drivers are not required to wear masks and that it is company policy to sign for credit card orders. I will never order from Papa John's in Longwood again.
