Barranco Cocina Peruana - Lafayette

It's been awhile since we have had great Peruvian food. It was a great experience as well. I definitely recommend this place.

I have to say the staff are amazing. Especially our waitresses inwiah I knew her name ahe was just perfect with her knowledge of the menu drink options and her overall customer service. Food was also really good.

We've been fans of Barranco since they first opened and have frequently ordered takeout and delivery from them throughout the pandemic. Choosing our favorites from the menu can be challenging, so we often end up trying something new each time we visit. However, we consistently make sure to order at least one (or two) servings of their Yucca fries. They also arguably serve some of the best calamari in Lafayette!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, which features outdoor seating. I ordered the Lomo Saltado, and while it was a tad salty for my taste (I'm sensitive to salt and prone to migraines), my friends loved their dishes of fish ceviche and short ribs. The prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty typical for the area. Plus, it’s pet-friendly!

One of my favorite places in the Bay Area! The ceviche is amazing, and I highly recommend getting the homemade chips to go with it. There are a few locations in this chain that I could review individually. The drinks are refreshing and enjoyable. The starters show a lot of creativity; my personal favorite is the crispy langoustines. We've tried almost all the main dishes, and everything has received high marks. The standout is definitely the Lomo Saltado, but don't miss out on the Pescado a lo Macho! While the service could improve, everyone is friendly and courteous. The live music on weekends is also a highlight that you won't want to miss.
