Vegan Donut Gelato - Oakland

We recently relocated from Chicago, where the winters were frigid and there were no hills. However, the pastry and coffee scene was exceptional. Now, near Lake Merritt, Vegan Donut Gelato has the donut game down. Their classic yeast-raised donuts are delightful, featuring toppings and flavors like Oreo, classic birthday sprinkles, Boston cream, and cinnamon crumble. I’m still holding out for crunchberries, but I would definitely come back!

What a fantastic place! I only stopped by to pick up some treats and didn't stay long, but the service was quick and friendly. I tried the blueberry glazed donut, the baked strawberry glazed donut, a classic old-fashioned, and a dozen donut holes. I also grabbed a bottle of water since it was really hot outside! I can't wait to return and try their gelato! I can't believe I hadn't discovered this spot sooner, and I will definitely be back again soon if I have the chance!

This place offers an excellent selection of donuts, all of which are vegan. The donuts are light and tasty. Plus, the Vietnamese iced coffee is absolutely perfect!

Amazed!! most delicious Im pretty sure the best vegan donuts Ive had very kind customer care ? texture consistency of the dough is excellent… very difficult to choose the fav taste…. i think ill go with pudding like filling with maple glaze ?

They were out of all Gelato, didn't know when they would have it back in the cases. That kinda sucks for any Gelato place to be out of ice cream on the 4th of July weekend???
