Bianelli's Gourmet Pizza - Kailua Kona

As a local who has dined here many times, I have to say that I won't be returning. You can't rely on older reviews, as the quality of both the food and staff has significantly declined over the past two years. I encourage you to look at the recent reviews instead. Is the food edible? Mostly, but it has deteriorated over time. After taking a break from this restaurant, we decided to go back last week because we received a gift card. Unfortunately, a family of four couldn't even finish a large pizza, which should send a clear message to the staff. We ended up leaving the leftovers untouched. The pizza tasted comparable to a frozen variety—bland and lacking a bubbly or hand-tossed crust. I hoped for an improvement when I made a special request, but was disappointed to find it overly salty, making it inedible for me. The ravioli was no better; it was just like what you’d find in a grocery store, and the pasta itself was flavorless. Additionally, customer service left much to be desired. After a long wait for a table, we didn’t receive a smile or even a refill on our drinks, and the food took ages to arrive. It seems like they don’t value earning tips based on service. This place really needs to overhaul everything—from the kitchen staff to the recipes. It's a shame to see locals and tourists alike being served such mediocre food.

I finally had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic Italian meal. The chicken parmesan was outstanding, accompanied by thick slices of garlic butter roasted bread. The four-meatball side dish, served with sauce, was also delicious. Everything was served hot and full of flavor. The deep-dish pizza with extra cheese was simply perfect. To top it all off, I enjoyed a refreshing May Time Wheat Eat Beer. It's a lovely spot for dining, whether inside or on the outdoor patio. I highly recommend bringing family and friends to share a special Italian meal on the Big Island!

We arrived just before closing time. The water had a strange taste, and the bathroom was located in a separate building, which was a bit unsettling to navigate alone at night since it was far from everything else. However, I didn't encounter any issues. The lava flow cocktail had a slightly metallic taste, but they made me a fresh one that was much better. My pineapple martini was perfect. The pizza and white sauce lasagna were surprisingly delicious. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit!

Food tasted great. We were tired after the day and enjoyed our meal.

Ok?.I don?t care if pizza is not the best when traveling. I get that different regions of the country enjoy different styles of crust, sauce, etc. I do get annoyed when the pizza is put together without any care or respect for the money I had to earn to buy it. Please note the picture of the inedible pizza we ordered today. It is their famous mozzarella pie. We paid extra for onions! Please note one skimpy piece of tomato per slice. Dollops of white mozzarella were hardened to the pizza. Not good folks. If you?re going to do it?.do it right.
