Thanon Khao San - Haymarket

The restaurant has a snack bar and live music, which is awesome! Before our dinner was served, we bought delicious egg custard cubes. The portion of the pad thai with chicken is small and a bit expensive, but it has good flavor. The noodles are darker than usual. The papaya salad with salted egg is tangy and refreshing, a must-order dish in Thai restaurants. The peanuts add a nice touch. The red duck curry comes in a whole coconut with extra curry on the side. The curry has a fruity taste with pineapple and lychee, and the duck is tender and juicy. Unfortunately, our dog accidentally splashed herself with the sauce while trying to peel the coconut, but the flesh soaked in curry sauce was delicious. Overall, it was a delicious meal, although a bit pricey. Luckily, we found a deal online to bring the bill down to a more reasonable price.

Friendly staff. Food was amazing!!!!! Tho a bit crowded but very Thai street market style! Definitely will visit again and again try all dishes!!!!!

The Thai food at this restaurant is extremely delicious. It is the best street food in Sydney! Even though we only had the lunch special (rice with 2 choices) because we were a bit full, you will not regret visiting this restaurant.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! They offer a wide variety of my favorite desserts such as durian sticky rice, mango sticky rice, cassava, waffles, Asian cupcakes, water chestnut with coconut, layer cake, and more. Sometimes they even have live bands playing if you dine inside. You should definitely give it a try!

1 Red Curry Seafood 3/5 <br/ Quite fresh and light dish, and the red curry soup base is really yummy! But different from in imagination, this one is not spicy at all. <br/ <br/ 2. Stir fried Heath shiitake mushroom 5/5<br/ What’s my dish!!!! Super healthy! Don’t need to be worried about the weight issue! All the ingredients are quite fresh and the shiitake mushroom are juicy <br/ <br/ 3. Desert <br/ The durian sticky rice 3.5/5 hahaha instead of mongo, it’s durian! And my bestie she is a huge fan of durian!!! Love it! But the rice is not that sticky hhhh, might need improvement <br/ <br/ <br/ Quite lovely small restaurants
