Refugium - Berlin

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, in dem wir immer in aller Ruhe speisen und genießen können! Es ist nicht überfüllt und das Publikum ist sehr angenehm (international, politisch und wirtschaftlich). Wir gehen immer wieder gerne hierhin, auch vor und nach unseren Konzertbesuchen im Schauspielhaus.

The location here is good (it was near our hotel) and it is also located on the gendarmenmarkt (a Piazza style with a concert hall). we sat outside, had managed to wait the rain and got a deck, but we were fine. at the arrival we were offered drinks and the menu and we drank our glasses champagner while we chose our food. before our food arrived, we got brot and an amuse bouche, which was nice! our appetizers were good (Langoustine soup) and I decided for the sea tuft, it was excellent! the service was consistently fantastic and the waiter was very friendly and polite and attentive. I would recommend it here. I understand that most people think it is overpriced, but for the location and service as well as eating it was worth the money in my book.

Because I am not a fine-smeller and this kind of person find a repulsive longing, I can only say that eating was really good. I had a suppe and calf as a main dish. this restaurant is located on the gendarmenmarkt, one of the most charming places berlins. which is noticeable from the first moment is the really excellent service. I find it very embarrassing to crawl waiter, but in this case they have not acted as if I were king ludwig 14, thank God for it. before the suppe brought the waiter very tasty brot and a mixture of various vegetables that were finely chopped in a small bowl. I was able to taste, among other things, and it was very refreshing. the waiter also brought an olive oil mixed with four different crumbles. this was very good when you dived the brot in it. the suppe and the calf were both beautifully presented and I enjoyed both. I had a grappa to finish my meal. I went very happy. only a sour note, it took a long time until the main course appeared. at this opportunity I had a timeline for reading and time left. in another place, that would have been irritating. the waiters were however both polite and absolutely professional. I recommend this restaurant.

Directly at the gendarmenmarkt. it is possible to eat outside or sit inside and enjoy this beautiful restaurant. great also for lunch. acceptable price
