Limones - Asheville

Coming here for YEARS. Always consistent fresh flavorful and you feel LIGHT AFTERWARD. Still one of our favorite’s. Also— they DEEP CLEAN the kitchen bar whole place every evening, we usually close down with them HA. Just great staff and owners.

Everything was top notch. We shared a number of appetizers and all were excellent.

Overpriced, average food with slow service. We had a reservation at 7:30pm and ended up getting seated at 8pm. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our drinks from our server. Our appetizers took equally as long, if not longer, and came with enough chips for a single person despite being a table of 4. The guacamole was amazing but I can’t say the rest is the tapas were special enough to merit the price. We ordered the brisket tacos, which were good, but a very small portion for $22 and we’ve much better at less formal restaurants. Our friends felt the same way about the fish. While our meals took a long time to get, the check came almost instantly. Interesting.

We've eaten at Limones several times over the years, they know how to do it right. Never disappointed, always top notch!!

A disappointment. After two tremendous dining experiences the previous two nights, this one (the most expensive) was a disappointment. The ceviche sampler was the best thing on our table on this evening. The chorizo- potato empanadas were pedestrian, hardly any taste of chorizo at all. The lamb dish was tough to slice and chewy. The sea bass dinner was ok, nothing special. Neither main course dish was equal to the price tag. Very nice wine recommendation by our waiter, an old vine Malbec. Service was fine. On our next trip to Asheville, we will take a pass on this restaurant, because it’s all about the food, not the reputation.
