Meet Gerard Cafe - Alexandria

A local favourite, usually a short wait / queue for table or takeaway on saturday morning. Not the cheapest around but I've never had a bad meal there or poor service in the countless times I've been. Delicious food, the 'milk and honey' is a favourite. Coffee always good. Staff are friendly and cafe is dog friendly. Always our go to. Closed on Sundays.

Picking places from Insta photos is so hit and miss, but this one was definitely a winner. Was keen for a lighter breakfast on this occasion so had the Milk and Honey which was granola with a very subtle not too sweet pannacotta - so tasty (see pic). We arrived around 8:30 and only needed to wait a couple of minutes for a table on a Saturday morning, but by the time we left there was a decent line - restaurant space is quite small.

This is a busy place that offers a great meal, excellent service and a good coffee. Dog friendly which is in important in this neck of the woods

This place offers a good breakfast but the chicken sandwich at lunch time is where its at! So so good!

Always a busy place during the peak hrs you either have to wait or take away.Friendly staff and the quality of food is great, the price is a bit high.Delicious food though so if you are after a great quality fresh food this is the place to be.
