Slo's Pub - Woodruff

Nice northwoods lakefront pub....great wings(big) at least a dozen sauces and only 75 cents on wednesdays

Had a great time with some friends for a bachelor party. They accommodated our large party for dinner. Great service, great food, great atmosphere.

Slo 's is THE most dependable bar/restaurant within 90 miles. Patrons/guests never have to play the are they open or are they closed game like with almost every other bar/restaurant in the area. I have been going to this establishment for over 40 years and yes that pre-dates the bar 's name but I cannot recall the previous owner(s). Slo 's is one of my top 5 all time spots in the northwoods. There was a time when the Thirsty Whale was my most recommended spot but that ended in the last 5 years when the Thirsty Whale went down the drain with food/service/friendliness.

Terrible service. We waited 1 1/2 hrs for a fish fry after our order was taken. When it came my walleye was so overcooked it was mush. When we asked server after an hour where our meal was she said two more orders in front of yours, then we waited another half hour. She also said hey could be waiting 3 hrs somewhere else. Once your order is taken it shouldn’t take 1 1/2 hrs for 3 fish fries.

Nice place, right on the water. Very good cheese curds and friendly service.
