Wine Dive - Wichita

We arrived for our 630 reservation to discover there was no table for us. The hostess and host had the deer in the headlight look like they had no idea we were talking about. They told us it would be a few minutes. We waited at the bar for 10 minutes, and then were shown to a high top table. I specifically requested no high top table when I made my reservation. The excuse was we did not know that. We then waited another 15 minutes for a regular table. How can a person have a confirmed reservation and have to wait 30 minutes for their table?

Not anything special, very overpriced for what the food is. Unoriginal dishes. We spent almost $100 on two drinks and two meals and walked away very unimpressed.

It is a great place with wonderful food and great service!

We asked for and were seated on their patio and had apps and wine. It was a gorgeous early afternoon and everything was perfect.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. It’s more of a business casual setting that you can dress up or down for. We ordered the Ahi tuna for an appetizer. The fish and avocado was poorly cut and drenched in a sweet teriyaki sauce. Micro greens and radishes were scattered all over the dish and did not complement the tuna. These could have been left out for a more cohesive dish. As for entrees, we ordered the sea bass and scallops. Sea bass was cooked well with a slight crisp which went well with the risotto. The scallops were slightly over cooked but paired well with a risotto; however, the side vegetables that came with the scallops did not work with the dish. It was a combination of broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, and bell peppers that had been sautéed. It tasted fine alone but did nothing for the scallops or risotto. Also, micro greens everywhere again. Not sure if it is just in season but both dishes could do without the garnish. The food was fair, about a 2/5. Our waitress though, was amazing. She was attentive and prompt. I cannot recall her name, but for sure a 5/5 service. Overall though, a 3/5 experience.
