Sushi Mountain - Whitby

We love Sushi and eat it about once a week. This place is the best. The fish is always fresh! Never in the 12 years or so of coming here has the fish been off. Consistently good food, decent price although they have gone along with other AYCE sushi places and are upping the price on weekends and holidays. No more food or selection, you pay more because it is a weekend. We hate that!!!!! But the food is good the service is good and there isn't a better place around. Its clean, good selection of food to choose from. Love their mountain roll, dynamite, hawaiian rolls, the list goes on and on. Lunch is 12.99Mon -fri, Dinner is $ 18.99 M-F and 19.99 Fri-Sun and holidays. Service is good when the owner is there. He is there a lot however the guy in charge when he is not doesn't like his job and it shows. However don't let this turn you off because the food is GREAT! Best in the area and beyond!

Really good sushi, friendly staff, never have to wait long for order. They need to expand, as it gets crowded.

Honestly I have come to sushi mountain in Whitby over the last 5 years and they have great rolls! The food hear is great in my opinion. Always fresh. Nothing is ever sitting old and stale. The servers sure are not as attentive, but let's face it are they ever at any of these types of places. For a sushi place not in the downtown core I would say it's the best in Durham region. I've been to many others and it's terrible. Just my opinion.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night before going out. The place was busy when we arrived but when we left there was about 15 people waiting to get a table! We keep coming back because they are always consistant.

It's not the best sushi and the selection of non sushi items is quite limited in my view compared to a lot of other places. But we do keep going back. The price is reasonable for all you can eat. But with all you can eat you don't get the best quality. Service is just ok...nothing special but not bad either. If you want to get in and out quickly and some decent food this is a good place to go.
