Jasper Fish & Chips - Whitby

I walked past yesterday and saw a notice on the door that the Owner retired after 20 years. It's last day of serving pretty good Fish and Chips was July 24.I only gave it a 4 star rating because the last time I went there for a Take Out about a month ago the Halibut Portion was really small for the price they were charging.

The fish here is always fried perfectly and is never greasy. If you are craving fish and chips this is a perfect choice.

Worst fish and chips ever. Found full worm in fish and they never offered to replace. Another customer said they had same thing happen 2 weeks before.

You get what you pay for, I think Jasper's has the best Halibut & Chips in the area, (and I have tried most of them). Great mushy peas too:-). I am originally from the UK and feel this is as good as or better than anything I ever had there.

43.00 to feed 2 people for "Average" tasting fish and chips. When I asked about prices, owner said "Don't come here then" Not worth it to pay that much for just fish and chips.
