The Red Lion Inn - West Stockbridge

Such a special place with an atmosphere that can't be matched. We had excellent food and service, and noted it was the same waiter we've had for the past few years. We'll be back again!

A friend and I visit the Red Lion twice a year from CT. The dining room has always been a special experience for us. This visit, however, was moderately disappointing. The portions were noticeably smaller, the prices noticeably higher. I am well aware that the hospitality industry has taken a hard hit and long lasting hardship since the pandemic, but I did feel that $8.00 for a basket with 3 small rolls was excessive! We are not sure about returning this fall, but we may give it a second opportunity to be as special as we remember. And another dissatisfier....the two soups were both shellfish based...a seafood chowder and clam chowder. Definitely not for those of us with a shellfish allergy.

We go here fairly regularly and always enjoy the food and ambience; we are big fans of the salmon and the brown sugar cake
