Cuban Island In Holl - West Plains

This was absolutely delicious. As a vegetarian I was limited by what I could have, but what they offered was off the charts! I love the vibe inside, the staff were friendly and passionate about the food they make. It's a go-to for us!

Moved from Texas to Roanoke a couple years ago. First place I've found that actually has spicy food. Not Virginia spicy, but actual spicy. Try their hot sauce! Amazing food and friendly staff.

Cuban Island is my go-to when I'm looking for something different. The selection of authentic Cuban entrees, fresh fruit drinks, and a fun atmosphere keep me coming back. Their Cubano sandwich is a winner as is their Ropa Vieja dish. Go with rice and beans fried plantains and you'll be a very happy customer. The service is friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

The Cuban Island Restaurant in Roanoke is our favorite restaurant. It is so good we travel about an hour to get there. We went with some friends of ours, and we had an excellent dining experience. The food was exquisite!!!! The different flavors just burst in our mouths! (mouth-watering good). Each of our meals was cooked to perfection. Our friends had dessert, and they raved about it. One had a chocolate dulce de leche, and the other had a pineapple-type cake. The wife said it was probably the best cake she has ever eaten so . . . so moist and flavorful. The restaurant was very, very clean as always, and the ambience was wonderful. Anyone looking to eat some delicious Cuban food has to come to the Cuban Island Restaurant in Roanoke. The plantains are some of the best I have ever eaten. My husband agreed with this. There is such a variety of different meals available and all very appetizing! We applaud the owners for having given us such an excellent dining experience. We left full and ever so satisfied. Our friends ordered two lattes with their dessert, and both of them were even raving about how great the coffee was. I wish I had ordered a latte myself but I will next time we go there to eat. Once again, kudos to the owners who are also the cooks. They put in some very hard work making sure everyone is well-pleased with their succulent dishes and food. We'll be by again and again!
