Bidrage med feedbackThe location of the restaurant is quite hidden, and it seemed deserted even during peak dinner hours on a Saturday, which should have raised some red flags. While the food does taste good, it’s simply not worth the potential risk of something going wrong. I know my issues are due to the meal because I haven't had any problems like this in ages, and it was the only meal I had eaten out in the last four days. I felt compelled to share my experience to warn others. Be cautious!
The Sinhalese food here is truly authentic and delicious. The prices for the Lamprise are quite reasonable, and there's a wide variety of options for short eats.
Although I recently had a disappointing experience at Haka Restaurant, I want to clarify that I'm not someone who goes out of my way to criticize businesses. In fact, I really love Lankan Delights! The quality and price of the food they offer are incredibly competitive. As someone who enjoys South Indian cuisine, I can confidently say that it's one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is always fresh, prepared fairly quickly, and offered at reasonable prices. I've never had an incorrect order here. I can't speak to the other reviews that are less than five stars, but Lankan Delights truly has everything you want in a restaurant. Just keep in mind that it's takeout only, so if you're looking to sit down and eat, you're out of luck. Overall, Lankan Delights deserves five stars, while Haka Express gets zero stars from me.
I ordered for lunch for about 25 people, the delivery was on time and piping hot. All the items were ample and delicious. All of my guests enjoyed the meals especially fried rice, eggplant moju, mutton curry. Thanks to the chef and the
Disappointing first experience here. Ordered lamprais, it wasn't the variety shown in the photos as shown on their website or marketing but rather a huge portion of white rice with meagre amounts of sambal, protein, an over-cooked egg and the tiniest cutlet. Lacked flavour, variety and balance to the dish. For the high price point (between $15 and $18 per lamprais), me and my guests expected better.Edit: This review is for Lankan Delights, which apparently shares the same kitchen/address as two other restaurants? It doesn't even come up on a Google search on first try... Really sketchy, just like the location.
