Inspite of the good food, their really refreshing Singapore Sling is reason enough to keep coming back. Service was excellent. They also have a somelier on standby to recommed wines by the bottle or to pair with the meal.
Had lunch with the family here after my brother’s graduation. It was our first time to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. I liked the dim and quiet ambience of the restaurant. The service was also good. We were served complementary bread with an oil dip. We ordered Onion Soup, Caesar Salad, John Dee Super Gold 160 Day Grain Fed Black Angus T-bone, Steak rice and Mashed potatoes. I was delighted at how tender and flavorful the steak was. Ruby Jack 's is a contemporary fine dining steakhouse originally from Tokyo, they opened their first branch here in the Philippines back in 2015. With posh and elegant surroundings, it screams fine-dine but with a comfortable feel. I rarely venture to this part of Metro Manila, but we were recently invited for a Zomato FMU and I just couldn 't pass up the chance. Ambiance was amazing without being too intimidating, and service was top-notch! But we 're really here for the food, right? Let 's get to it! STARTERS: Coconut Flamed Foie Gras Foie Gras which is French for fat liver and considered by many as a delicacy, Ruby Jack 's version was to die for. It has a rich and smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture. It 's delicate and perfectly paired with the sweet and tangy caramelized pineapple. The bits of cashew gave it a nice contrast to its soft texture. Black Angus Carpaccio Carpaccio, a thinly sliced raw meat, was an elegant hors d 'oeuvre to our lunch. Presented beautifully and topped with fresh tomatoes and rocket leaves, it is both a feast on the eyes and the stomach. It has a soft and tender texture with a fresh and delectable taste. The homemade ricotta was a nice addition as it gave the dish a meaty creamy flavor. Sizzling Scallops All that glistening shio butter didn’t help me at resisting this dish, at all. The scallops had the perfect texture, it was chewy without being rubbery and it was soft without being goopy. The butter brought out all sorts of flavor to it. MAINS Tomahawk Steak I guess it 's safe to say that everyone got really excited when this came out. I mean really, who wouldn 't be? Ideal for sharing due to its huge size and aptly named as it resembles the Tomahawk axe, this was the ultimate star of our lunch. Cooked medium rare, it is tender with an earthy and smokey taste. I really enjoyed it. Teppan Grilled Atlantic Salmon Salmon is my favorite fish. Ruby Jack’s version was beautifully presented, it has a mild creamy texture. It almost melts in your mouth upon each bite and very flavorful. Char Grilled Local Yellow Fin Tuna They served two versions of this dish, one was cooked medium rare and the other was well done. I tried both and I prefer the well done version. There is indeed a huge difference in taste depending on how it was cooked. Unlike the salmon which has a mild flavor, this one was bursting with flavor and has a beef-like texture. It is slightly sweet and dense, top quality tuna right there. SIDES Creamed Spinach It has a smooth and velvety texture, full of flavor and seasoned perfectly. I think I consumed half of the serving. Truffle Scented Cauliflower Gratin Creamy and tasty, there’s a nice crunch to the cauliflower which indicates that it was cooked perfectly and not overdone which sometimes happens to gratin dishes. The truffle was mild and not too overpowering which was a plus point for me. I couldn’t get enough of this dish, it was the perfect side dish with the Tomahawk Steak. DESSERT Pimm’s No. 1 Garden Lemon Cheesecake, Pimm’s No. 1 Jelly, Cucumber Ice Cream Pearls of Asia Lychee Agar Sorbet, Coconut Espuma, Tapioca Pineapple Olive Oil Pistachio Pound Cake Pistachio, Whipped Ricotta, Lavander, Jasmine Ice Cream Double Baked Sizzling Cheesecake Coriander Ice Cream, Salted Caramel Jaffa Chocolate Dome Chocolate Ice Cream, Jaffa Orange Agar Assorted Handmade Chocolates Bon Bons, Dark Peppermint, Nougat, Apple Pie with Streusel Crumbles, Tiramisu Okay, it’s kinda hard to choose the best from all these mouth-watering desserts. Seriously, everything was plated beautifully I almost didn’t want to touch it. Almost. Well, my top 2 picks would probably be the Double Baked Sizzling Cheesecake and the Pimm’s No. 1 Garden. Sizzling Cheesecake, wait what? Yes, sizzling cheesecake, folks! The cheesecake was served on a piping hot stone plate, then the salted caramel sauce was poured and just hear it sizzle! It was smooth and fluffy, sweet and sinful. I loved it! The caramel sauce created a beautiful velvety texture to the cheesecake which will make you come back for more. The Pimm’s No. 1 Garden on the other hand was a nice palate cleanser, it has a refreshing and clean-tasting feel. Plus it was just too pretty, perfect for the ‘gram! Overall, it was an amazing experience dining at Ruby Jack’s. Impeccable service with top-quality divine dishes! I’d recommend this place for date night or a get-together with friends. You won't disappoint your special date when you take them here. They would DEFINITELY LOVE the food! We were able to try their : (P250) Oregano Brushed Torched Bell Peppers (P400) Truffle Scented Cauliflower Gratin (P250) Creamed Spinach (P1200) Teppan Grilled Atlantic Salmon (P1200) Rare Char-Grilled Local Yellowfin Tuna (P600 in the current day's weight per every 100 grams) Tomahawk Steak (P900) Sizzling Scallops with Whipped Shio Konbu Butter and Dalandan (P650) Coconut Flamed Foie Gras with Caramelized Pineapple-Cashew Dukkah (P700) Black Angus Carpaccio with Whipped Homemade Ricotta, Sugar Tomatoes and Rocket (P400) Pimms No. 1 Garden (P400) Pearls of Asia (P400) Olive Oil Pistachio Pound Cake (P400) Pistachios, whipped ricotta, and lavender jasmine ice cream (P400) Double Baked Sizzling Cheesecake with Coriander Ice Cream and Salted Caramel (P400) Jaffa Chocolate Dome with a Chocolate Sorbet (P400) Assorted Handmade Chocolates Their quality is fascinating as every detail is emphasized on every dish that they serve. Not only is the food delicious but very flavorful as well. Ruby Jack's is a fine dining restaurant which I could recommend to people who wants to spend their momentous special occasion with their special someone or family and friends. The price is a little bit higher than most fine dining restaurants but you would clearly see why. QUALITY I must say. My favorite from their dishes is the Tomahawk Steak! It's the BEST I've had in my life! Would definitely try it out again in the future.
Ruby Jack's Steakhouse and Bar is situated within the City of Dreams, and offers visitors a feast of food and drink in between bouts of entertainment. Oregano Brushed Torched Bell Peppers (P250) Sweet, smoky bell peppers that are great to pair with some of the richer dishes. Truffle Scented Cauliflower Gratin (P400) Thankfully the truffle aroma is mild, and the cauliflower still has its crunch despite being bathed in the rich, creamy sauce. Creamed Spinach (P250) My personal favorite among the sides. The spinach blends well with the cream and is also perfect to pair with the main dishes. Black Angus Carpaccio with Whipped Homemade Ricotta, Sugar Tomatoes and Rocket (P700) The salty taste of the carpaccio and ricotta is contrasted by the sweetness of the tomato and the rocket. Teppan Grilled Atlantic Salmon (P1200) The salmon is soft and the skin is so crunchy that it pops in the mouth. It also does not have an overly fishy taste, which is always a plus in my book. Rare Char-Grilled Local Yellowfin Tuna (P1200) If I did not know it was tuna, I would have though it was a beef steak. The tuna is also well done and the accompanying sauce lends it a creamy, nutty taste. Tomahawk Steak (P600 in the current day's weight per every 100 grams) This huge steak is seared on the grill and served sliced, offering guests a peek into the brilliant red meat that is rich, savory and filling. Sizzling Scallops with Whipped Shio Konbu Butter and Dalandan (P900) The scallops are smoky from the grill and go well with the salty butter. Squeeze some dalandan juice over it for maximum flavor. Coconut Flamed Foie Gras with Caramelized Pineapple-Cashew Dukkah (P650) The classic liver dish gets a flame treatment on the table. I suggest having a slice of liver with pineapple to combine the richness with the sweetness. DESSERT: Pimms No. 1 Garden (P400) Lemon cheesecake, Pimm's No. 1 Jelly, and cucumber ice cream Refreshingly cool and sweet ice cream goes with the sweet and sour cheesecake. Jaffa Chocolate Dome with a Chocolate Sorbet (P400) Sweet and fruity, chewy dessert dome with a cooling chocolate sorbet. A great dessert. Assorted Handmade Chocolates (P400) Dessert chocolates: bon bons and truffles. Mandarin ganache, dark peppermint, nougat, apple pie with streusel crumbles in choco, tiramisu All this chocolate and in such a small size. The tiramisu is my favorite among the chocolates because I love tiramisu, and Ruby Jack's does it well. Double Baked Sizzling Cheesecake with Coriander Ice Cream and Salted Caramel (P400) Easily my favorite among the desserts. The cheesecake is placed on a sizzling pan and the salted caramel is poured on it like a gravy. The ice cream also has a mild taste of coriander only, so it does not overwhelm.
