U Kucharzy Sp Z Oo Spk - Warszawa

My wife and visited this lovely restaurant during our recent visit to Warsaw. We liked the restaurant so much, so before finishing our dinner, we booked a table for the next evening. We enjoyed that evening as much as the evening before, if not even more. The restaurant has a great ambiance, very good service and remarkably good food. We had probably the best foie gras de canard we have ever had, fantastic beef cheeks, wonderful grand desert and exciting kogel mogel ? Large open kitchen at the entrance of the restaurant. They built and served in front of the eyes of diner directly from the pan or the pot very experienced and courteous staff. an unforgettable culinary experience.

We went here at 10pm hoping to get a table and were seated immediately. We opted for the tasting menu, even though i wanted to try the duck and it wasn't part of the tasting menu. My brother was hoping to try the pâté. Even though these weren't on the tasting menu, other items weren't available so we got them. The pickled herring was good, i like smelly fish but this was not very pungent. The beef tartare was prepared at the table side and was excellent. There was pâté was served with the tartare. The guinea fowl soup came next which was very delicately flavoured. The duck was worth the substitution and the potatoes and cabbage went very well with it. The dessert was probably the best I've had while in Poland. It was a berry meringue like a pavlova. The meringue was really light and crunchy at the end

Very good place, positioned to be embeddes in the past of the Polish history, sociali times in particular. But it is a good news as they treat it as a theme and serve some great food. Steak tartar is superb, so is goose and fish soup. They have a very good service and treat customers with the right level of respect. Prices are on the upper Warsaw level. Recommended.
