Bay of India has the best curries. Great choices tasty naan bread which is made fresh for each customer. Staff are friendly. We enjoy picking up our takeaway after watching the ice hockey.

I don't know what Newcastle Indian take out is like, but this was very impressive! Will order again the next time I am in Newcastle.

Super tasty, good value, Indian curries and sides. Curries are tasty, always warm and very fulfilling. Serving sizes are decent too. Cheese naan and garlic cheese naan are very popular. My personal favorite is the traditional Butter Chicken. We call ahead because there can be a big wait some nights due to popularity.I would only recommend take-away as there isn't much of a dining area.

Decided to give it a go given how busy this place is on a Friday or week-end night. I was quite surprised by the service, the girls were very friendly and give me some extras. I was disappointed with the butter chicken. The daal was really nice and the eggplant curry yum!Overall, I was expecting more going by popularity. I am likely to give it a miss next time.

The portion size and the quality is better than what you get get at more expensive Indian restaurants. The naan range is delicious, especially the cheese and combination, and the quality is always very consistent. There is a rush during busy periods but you can always phone ahead. If what you care about is the quality, taste and bang for your buck, this is the place to go. Bay of India is as good if not better than Indian I've had all around the Hunter and even in other countries. If you are Vegetarian the options are also diverse and excellent.
