Burko's Cafe Newtown - Wandana Heights

Leave here often for lunch when in the city for work and is always a good meal. You have an interesting menu with fresh and healthy options. Genuine food with thoughts. Last time I had a bad superfood salad and today I had the chicken curry as a snack. The coffee is excellent!

Well worth a visit friendly service always pleasant excellent food nice to eat in the fresh air outside amongst fresh growing produce in the garden they make a mean dirty chai prices reasonable try and enjoy

Stopped by this gem on the way back from a river run, and Newtown, you've done it again. Tucked away on the chronically busy West Fyans St, just past the Latrobe Terrace junction, Burko's offers great coffee and spectacularly good food, locally sourced and prepared. Street parking outside's a bit of a squeeze (we ignored the 15 min only this time), but plenty of room inside on the tables and window stools. Beautiful and warm on a chilly day, we bypassed the healthy options and went the Reuben sandwich. Perfect brisket, melted cheese, pickles, and a light tangy mayo, it certainly hit the spot. Coffees were on the money, great to see cappuccino available in a smaller cup and not a bucket! Service was friendly, quick, and informative, and there were some neat sounds in the background, giving it a real funky feel.Tables also available outside for the brave, wines for those of you up for a long lunch, so if you're part of the morning or lunch time crawl through this part of town, stop in, sit down, order up, and watch the traffic. You'll be glad you did.

Popped in for a breaky n coffee didn't fail to put a smile on my face ... no hot oats but there burcher was spot on and coffee Delish ... staff were very friendly got some sweet potato and chorizo slice to take away def recommend this cafe
