Big Y Bakery - Wallingford

I usually find everything I need here, and the staff are generally friendly. However, I've always been a bit confused by the store layout for some reason. Perhaps it's because it doesn't match the layout of the other Big Y stores.

If the manager happens to read this, I urge you to focus on customer service training for the deli staff who were working on January 27th at 8:23 PM. Thank you! On a positive note, I would like to commend the bakery employees. They are always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.

The products were good, but the coffee bar was lacking in supplies, and the staff did not restock it. Overall, it was a good experience.

Big y in north haven is my food business. the load itself is bright, clean and pleasant, especially after its recent renovation. the staff is typically friendly and helpful. the aisles are far enough, there is no stow in everyone, and there is rarely a wait for check-out (where they still bag for them! Their meeres fruits and butchers/meat are the best I found in a chain store, except perhaps whole foods. the bakery is also excellent. her deli does not wear boar’s head, which could be a sticky point if they eat a lot of cold cuts, but their own brand is quite good. and there are a few other brands that I would like to wear to save me that I have to stop trading in other. it is true that their prices are somewhat higher than the stop shop on the road, but for me it is worth for better experience and quality.

I've always liked Big Y because them seem cleaner and have friendlier staff than their competitors and love the layout of store. Stopped at the North Haven location for first time on way home from work. Store set up as expected, had quality produce and meat. I stopped at bakery for some items but wasn't sure what to get. The employee was super friendly and helpful, listened to my preferences and made suggestions. Did the rest of my shopping and went to check out. Cashier was also very friendly and professional, bagger asked if I wanted him to bag and then took my bags, I'm picky how things get bagged and was pleasantly surprised that he took the time to bag the way I prefer. This is why I will continue to patronize Big Y. Prices may be slightly higher on a few items but overall quality of shopping experience far outweighs the price.
