Peasant - Waitsfield

The food was good, the owner was extremely rude. My wife made reservations in advance and he was rude to her on the phone. We arrived on time for our reservation (he was rude), and the owner stuffed us in the bar though the main dining room had open tables. We stayed for one hour and twenty minutes and as we left, there were three tables open in the main dining room. We spoke to a local and they knew of his personality and blamed it on his New York heritage (I don't buy that, we know lots of nice New Yorkers). The night before we ate at American Flatbread. Great Experience! I'd strongly recommend doing that instead.

Does not matter what you order every last thing is such a wonderful treat! full taste, only rich enough to pure heaven, but not too heavy. I am always looking forward to my next visit!!

Never disappointed! So grateful for Peasant to be in our backyard and the Alberti family to smile amongst us! Thank you for another splendid supper!

Oh my my MY! Doting staff, delectable eats, timing of each plate; perfection! The chef came out to see how everything was, DIVINE! First escargot and locally sourced meatballs. My main entree; orecchiette with escarole and handmade chicken sausage. Ahumina ahumina ahumina…My husband had chicken breast with mushrooms in sherry, cream lemon sauce. Wowza! Make reservations now. Everything culminated to an delish dining experience. GO! GO NOW!
