Came here for a Saturday dinner and wow! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, the location is wonderful and the pub itself a historical gem. And that’s before you get to the food. A rainy day with a local ale sat next to the lovely roaring fire is about as good as it gets. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly Rooms: 5 Service: 5

Lovely little country pub we stopped in during a walk. Nice, calming atmosphere, very attentive staff, and the food was delicious and very prompt! highly recommend if your in the area Food drinks: Food is incredible! Great choice items on the Sunday menu. Usual a selection of Roast meats and pudding. A reasonable selection of ales and wines the ale i chose was excellent, apparently the pub is tied to the brewery. Fine day and outdoor seating was also available Luckily we had booked as it was busy. Service: 4 Location: 4
