Martinez Bakery - Vista

Wow! I got a great recommendation from a nearby merchant on where to find some delicious tamales. These "Rajas" tamales are simply the best I've ever tasted. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give them a 15+—they're truly off the charts! Additionally, Martinez Bakery is impeccably clean and well-organized. The staff is polite, friendly, and clearly enjoys their work. I was so impressed with their tamales that I even called to thank them. I placed a second order for the next day because they sell out so fast. Thank you once again, Martinez Bakery. You’re absolutely number one, no doubt about it. I'll see you tomorrow!

I cannot recommend this place enough! The service was excellent and the food was outstanding! We ordered a large meal and everyone absolutely loved everything – the tamales, the tres leches, all of it was fantastic!

I visited today and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the bread was. This bakery is fantastic, and their conchas are the best I've ever had!

This is a very small Mexican bakery off the beaten path. No one has reviewed them in about a year but that's not because they don't have good stuff. I'm sure it's because their average customer isn't on Yelp very often...or ever. Their pastry prices are insanely cheap. We got four huge pastries for about 7 bucks and they were all crazy fresh and delicious.The real reason we stopped in was for their tamales. But you snooze, you lose. They were literally sold out of them at about 11:00 a.m. on a weekend. They suggested we call next time and reserve whatever type and amount of tamales we wanted and they'll set them aside for later pickup. So, that's a hot tip for you.We'll be back.

No words to describe how amazing the tamales are here. As soon as you walk in, you can smell that your food is going to be fresh. Having the tamales wrapped in banana leaves. Keeps the moisture trap, creating an amazing bit each time.
