Viet Cafe Vietnamese Food Coffee

I visited Hanoi in Northern Vietnam three years ago, just before the pandemic, and a local cab driver told me about a dish called BUN CHA that everyone loved. It's made of pork patties served on vermicelli noodles in fish sauce, and it was absolutely incredible. Since then, I've struggled to find Vietnamese restaurants that serve Northern cuisine. However, I am truly impressed with this place—it captures the same amazing flavors I experienced in Hanoi. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Victoria. Honestly, I would rate it a perfect 20/10 and I can't wait to recommend it to all my friends!

If you haven't had the chance to try Northern Vietnamese cuisine yet, this restaurant will truly change your life! My wife and I visited for the first time in February, and they served the best pho I've ever tasted—possibly the best of my entire life. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming too! Overall, it was a 5-star experience with fantastic food!

As someone from Vancouver, I've enjoyed plenty of Vietnamese cuisine, given that there are so many restaurants offering it. I can confidently say that Café Hanoi serves the closest thing to homemade Vietnamese food that I've experienced so far. The beef stew is absolutely amazing, and the garlic chili vinegar sauce is savory, spicy, and utterly addictive. Although Auntie's English isn't the best, be patient with her; the food is definitely worth the wait.

Had lunch here while in town for work. A small spot serving authentic flavors that I am sure is a local hotspot. Enjoyed my bun cha and egg coffee thoroughly and left stuffed. Located in a newer developed part of downtown off the inner harbor, was very pleasant.

I don 't typically review restaurants but Cafe Hanoi is a rare case. This is honestly the best Hanoi food you could find in Victoria. I am a big fan of the typical Phos but you can 't go wrong with the Bun Cha either. As for the services, both the servers and the owner were super chill. They also recommended us some of the places around the city. The service is great but the foods are even better, what are you waiting for?
