The food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. My wife and I would definitely return. Thank you!
Dave and Kathy are wonderful hosts. The food and service are excellent, and they also have a bar.
Having lived in San Francisco, I'm aware that medium-rare burgers are often used to attract customers there. I've enjoyed countless burgers from that city, but I know that such a model isn’t realistic everywhere. While there’s some flexibility in the restaurant industry with dishes like eggs, many places around here tend to serve medium-well beef, often with just a hint of pink. It's important to remember that most beef has been frozen at some point, a fact I learned when I rented a room this past year to a professional chef. I was worried when I read that the reviewer mentioned the restaurant used to serve fresh beef, which is quite rare nowadays. Even Wendy's, famous for its "fresh, never frozen" beef, has to turn any leftovers into chili to prevent waste—fresh beef can be a financial burden. When I visited the restaurant, it appeared to be quite new. The East Enterprise I remember from the 1990s just had a general store that primarily served the Amish community. So, I’m curious why someone from San Francisco would travel to this area for several cheeseburgers and then rate the restaurant just one star over its price and a single patty. To be honest, it’s a bit ironic that someone like me, also a current or former San Francisco resident, would delve so deeply into critiquing such a short review. And perhaps I shouldn't be too quick to assert that my recreational property is just ten minutes away. Nevertheless, I'm genuinely excited about the positive changes happening down by Laughery Creek.
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a cold beer and delicious food. It's especially wonderful in the summer when they open the garage doors and feature live music.
