Edo Japan - Vernon

Wasn't impressed. Waited to pay in awkward silence for a few minutes while the cashier emptied a bunch of change rolls into the register after I had ordered. I ordered some California Rolls, and received them cold. I asked if they could make some fresh, and I was told they were made half an hour ago. They then proceeded to tell me that it was policy for them to make some ahead of time, and then refrigerate them. I would go to a grocery store if I wanted old, cold Sushi.. I know for a fact that other Edo Japan locations make their rolls fresh, and you have the option to buy older ones if you so desire. Won't be coming back for Sushi Rolls. Edo Japan was my 150th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon. I paid $18.38 for veggie yakisoba and yam tempura after taxes. The dipping cup was too small for the tempura. The tempura didn't taste super fresh, but was still fine. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my yakisoba noodles. I wish the broccoli pieces were bigger. Overall, I recommend this spot. I like that it's not a super busy place. The staff was super friendly, and there is free wifi. I only have twenty eateries left to go in Vernon. My quest is almost over! Had my usual Beef Yakisoba bento box to go. The food seemed old (main dish and the sides alike). I didn't think much of it as I know fast food can have it's highs and lows, but had to stop eating when a bug crawled out of my food.
