Auberge Du Prieure - Ventavon

Our meals were all delicious and the selection and quality of the desserts were remarkable. The service was friendly and helpful, and it is hard to beat the view from this lovely location. We look forward to bringing more friends here to enjoy our find!

We stayed in the area for a weeks cycling holiday. Early in the week we stopped for a mid morning coffee. The host was welcoming despite it being close to Sunday lunchtime. Nice outside terrace with great views. We returned later in the week and had the lunchtime menu du jour. Excellent value for E15.

After a very successful experience 2 years ago, we tried the Prieuré again and were disappointed. On the positive side: the setting is always very pleasant (beautiful view, calm... , very friendly waiters, fair prices (3-course menu at 25 euros . Negative: the kitchen. Very salty and poorly prepared starter. Overcooked meat in sauce, pieces of meat which should not be of first choice, poor sauce. Disappointing dessert. We may have had a bad time this time, too bad.

The greedy spider was closed so I thought it was an opportunity to discover the small village and a new restaurant. The village deserves small 4 stars for the beautiful roses against this restaurant is not worth a visit. Cuisine without flavor, amateur service, setting and price 20€ for the menu of the day and then what else.

We had an excellent time, excellent cuisine at a very affordable price and in a warm and family atmosphere not to mention a very beautiful view I recommend Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
