Bidrage med feedbackThis was my first time at Mosaic Wine and Sushi it will definitely not be my last time. Fantastic restaurant! Great food! Great service! Great wine options and the wine we ordered was perfect for the evening (we had two bottles). We sat in the wine room I would recommend doing that as it is slightly air conditioned. The cheese board was much larger than I had anticipated. It is difficult to find good cheeses in the area but Mosaic has them.
From the moment of our arrival the staff greeted us with smiles and respect. Offered us the best spot in the restaurant (a private room with a/c and surrounded by a wine cellar). The quality of customer service was just a great as the food and the timing. Prices are decent for the tourist area. The Ya Sai Sushi was amazing. It was my girlfriends birthday and everything was perfect. They even gifted her with an incredibly delicious chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream on top and on the house! Thank you Mosaic!
The best vegan sushi rolls I have ever had! The Crispy Vegetarian rolls (which are vegan) were delicious. Great setting with seating options inside and outside in the garden. Four vegan sushi rolls plus a vegan panini and other items which can be veganised. Very accommodating and lovely setting with a fab wine list. Totally recommend!
This place was one of our favorite finds in Cost Rica. We walked in without a reservation and the place was full but one of their staff, Eliam, was kind enough to offer us a seat in the wine room which was air conditioned and not a bad option at all. In fact, we went with his recommendations for the night. For starters we had the tuna tataki — thick slabs of some of the freshest tuna we’ve ever had, perfectly done and topped with mango and red onion which went super well with the Japanese soy. Then we ordered 2 rolls: The diablo roll’s tempura style breading was perfectly done just the right thickness of batter and super crispy. The whole roll was a perfect medley of textures and flavors jalapeño, eel sauce, cream cheese, avocado… yum! The paradise roll really surprised me — the avocado, mango and salmon was mixed with beetroot sauce which gave some sweetness and then had a small piece of lime on top which gave the acidity but also a bit of bitter (because of the skin) — it was the perfect bite! Everything was enhanced even more by the wasabi. To be honest, we started out a bit skeptical about having sushi but were intrigued because clearly the seafood would be fresh. The quality of the food definitely did not disappoint, but what really made this place stand out was that they understood the concept of sushi as a dish but inserted a very local flavor profile and the fusion was fantastic. On top of that the service was top notch and the place had a great vibe to it. We spent a total of US$50, which We are looking to come back to try the other dishes too.
