This restaurant in Uvalde is known for its popularity, as evidenced by the presence of state police vehicles. Managed by the Mennonite community, the lunch menu offers healthy and satisfying options. The menu features a variety of salads, including the open range chicken salad which I enjoyed for 20 minutes. I opted for an icy drink, but there were also other non-alcoholic options available. The salads were priced at $9.99 each, and there were also hamburgers and special sandwiches made with homemade sourdough bread. Our group arrived at 12:30pm and easily found seating. In addition to the restaurant, there is a high-quality Amish furniture store next door. The Open Range Bakery is located on Highway 90 on the east side of the city.

The food was excellent and the service was great. The Amish staff were friendly and it was clear they are skilled cooks. It's best not to dine here if you're avoiding lawbreakers, as every police officer within a 25-mile radius seems to stop by for lunch!

You certainly get your money's worth here. Excellent food, charming decor, courteous staff, small town vibe. Great place for breakfast, will have to try the bakery later!

Wow! This place is welcoming, warm, and smells so good when you open the front door! The food....EVEN BETTER. Hot, fresh, and delicious. If you're in Uvalde, get your breakfast here!
