Taco Buddha - University City

Saw this place on the app and decided to wonder there. It's a sweet little gem tucked away off the beaten path. The food is vegan friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The outdoor seating has large umbrellas that creates some nice shade!

This is a cute taco shop that opened up in 2017 tucked away in middle of the U-city neighborhoods. You always run into neighbors there because it's where all the locals (in the area) walk to. The tacos are inspired by New Mexican cuisine and most feature hatch chillies native to that area. The menu rotates but always has vegan options. FREE salsa and guac!! Beautiful patio area and service is always pleasant

These are the best gourmet tacos I've ever had! The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

The one in Kirkwood was phenomenal. The staff had lots of different jobs and were very effective. One girl came over to explain how to order, another brought us water, another the food. It was a nice experience. The food was very good too. Not like regular tacos, they feel a bit more decadent.

Oh, Taco Buddha. You confuse me so... If you're cool and trendy, if you're all about hip and happening, you will love love love Taco Buddha! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is most definitely, shall we say, of the plastic wrapped outdoor variety. (You'll see. If your bones are starting to creak and your hair looks more like the November sky in St. Louis, than it's original Hue, it might turn out to be a bit of a challenge. Particularly if you use their QR code menu. I am considered fairly QR code savvy but, try as I might, I managed to completely screw up the order. Oh, it was my fault. There's no blame for taco Buddha. I managed to get some of the right things and some of the wrong things and too much of both. But never mind that. I had a couple Baja tacos. They were fantastic. My wife had the Thailand taco. It had a very interesting twist to the brisket, but she loved it. You will too. You need to order these things along with the side of chips and queso. Hurry! Go there now! You can thank me later. If you're moderately hungry, I recommend two tacos and a side of rice and beans. But my biggest recommendation is that you humble yourself, walk to the cash register, and place your order there. Had I done that, I would've looked much less stupid when our order arrived!
