Gigi's Italian Restaurants

We dined there Monday evening. I had the combo and my wife had the pasta. Both dishes were superb, very authentic Italian cuisine. Wish we had one in Jacksonville.

We have been dining in and delivering meals from Gigi's for over 20 years. It was one of our very favorites, especially for pizza. Gigi's was my absolute favorite for Pizza, but about a year and a half ago I noticed that the price went up and the quality went down. I was so disappointed, that I tried again and again hoping it was just a one-time incident. So we said good-bye to Gigi's for good.

We really liked Gigi's; the food was good and the staff was very friendly. They have standard Italian dishes and a few new ones. Gluten free pasta, too.

Couldn't get past the appetizers.We were so excited to have Italian as we were burned out on fried food and my name to our grandchildren is Gigi! Unfortunately, my excitement quickly vanished. Our sodas were flat. We ordered escargot and calamari as appetizers and because our service had been so bad we decided to wait for the appetizers before ordering our mains....we had a bad feeling by this point. Our server was running. He was in such a rush it seemed he was throwing our drinks and food at us. We just laughed it off but honestly it was the weirdest service I've experienced. I don't even know how to articulate what happened. Anyway, the calamari and escargot were overcooked, rubbery and bland. The tomato sauce that came with the calamari made both dishes edible. Sadly, we didn't bother with main courses. Even to pay our bill was a struggle as our server was so over run. There were other staff there who were hostesses who didn't seem as busy but who am I to say. Perhaps have the entire team work to help? Not sure what was going on. Hope this helps.Some of the places at Treasure Island are busy because of their location. Sorry Gigis, I really wanted to love you.

Very good food. It is a little pricey but it is worth it great Italian food and great service. We will return!
