Qq Kitchen - Toledo

This used to be our go-to spot for takeout. We have been ordering the same dishes for years. However, when we tried to place an order today for crispy fried chicken, which we have been enjoying for several years, we were informed that it was no longer available. There was no option for an upcharge, just a friendly offer to cancel our order. We would have been willing to pay extra to get the food we were craving. We were puzzled as to why they would refuse our entire order instead of simply adding ingredients they already have.

You can't go wrong at this restaurant - the portions are very filling and the meals are well-prepared. The kimchi bacon fried rice is truly inspired, I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in town!

The temperature of the food was good and it tasted fresh, but that's about all I can say. I've been to this restaurant before and it was mostly white people there. This doesn't always mean the food won't be good, so I decided to give it a try. The fried rice was just plain white rice with some egg and vegetables mixed in. The general tso chicken wasn't spicy and lacked flavor, although it was made with white meat. There was no MSG in the dishes, but the lo mein was just average and lacked flavor, similar to plain egg noodles. Overall, this restaurant is not the best place for Asian food in Toledo, even as an Asian person. I understand that many places serve Americanized Asian food, but this wasn't even great Americanized food. I might give it another chance in the future, but for now, I'll stick to other restaurants.

The chicken roast rice at this restaurant is the best in the city. If they added more entrees to the menu, I would give it 5 stars. The quality at QQ seems good, but Rice King still has a better selection of entrees. I wish QQ had a crispy bark like Rice King. If the specialty of QQ is not their specific dish, it might be better not to dilute the brand.

The restaurant offers a menu of Asian fusion dishes, but the quality of the ingredients and sauces used is disappointing. The staff is friendly and portions are generous for the price, but the lack of authentic Asian flavors and the use of imitation ingredients are noticeable. While the low prices may be appealing, the taste of the dishes falls short of expectations. Overall, the dining experience is average and there are better options available, even at slightly higher prices.
