La Esquina Mexican Grill

The cheese enchiladas here are the best we've ever had. The Al Pastor tacos are incredible—juicy and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the tomatillo sauce. However, the churro had a taste that reminded me of nutmeg or another spice. I personally prefer the classic combination of cinnamon and sugar.

I tried the potato tacos, and they were great. The salsa was delicious too. The menu had a nice variety of options, including drinks and desserts. However, finding the place with GPS was a bit tricky. It's located next to a car wash.

The food was of very low quality. The carnitas were tough, dry, and chopped into cubes. They forgot to include my rice, and the enchilada sauce was terrible. The meal seemed poorly prepared and looked haphazardly assembled. The chips tasted like stale, burnt, store-bought varieties. I won't be returning. This meal was a waste of my gift card, and I ended up throwing it away.

I had never tasted a birria taco before, but it was absolutely delicious! I have a feeling this little spot is where all the true Latinos go to enjoy a meal! The enchilada sauce was outstanding—dark, rich, and smoky, clearly homemade. It had a hint of cinnamon in the base and maybe even mole? All I know is that it was the best enchilada I’ve ever had, and the prices were (chef's kiss) very reasonable!

When I ordered a carne asada burrito, I anticipated getting... well, carne asada. Instead, I received a burrito filled with rice. That was $15 wasted.
