Expensive for a tuna mayo and sweetcorn jacks spud and the order came out wrong no sweetcorn had red onion on it. read the order it wasn’t that u were that busy. could not be bothered to get it returned the guy severing was nice and friendly. the girl taking the order at the counter needs to smile and be friendly. And Diet Coke £2.50 plastic bottle. what really dose pee me is paying extra for Alternative milk not my fault it is all I can take.

Avoid the hot chocolate-terrible. Spoke to a waitress who said she would see if we could replace with an alternative drink. She never came back to us! Ordered a chicken salad wrap. Expensive and very average. Would not recommend this establishment.

Went today with my mum made our order when they bought it the table I said to the waitress that tea pot is dirty, but she laughed on closer inspection the cups were dirt full of tea stains the milk jug has dirty brown marks and black things floating in it, I asked for them to be replaced but the replacement wasent any better when I complained again I was told we don't have any clean cups so they gave us dirty ones, no apology they didn't see what was wrong I asked for a refund which they gave, I will never go back

We used to love this place for its food, pleasant staff and comfortable surroundings, the food now is appalling, my garnish with sausage roll was five pieces of iceberg lettuce, brown at the edges and my cappuchino was cold (probably as it went into a cold cup), fortunately we did only order a coffee and snack this time and the place was deserted (I now understand why) such a shame, in an age where every customer has a voice, why would any retaurant behave in such a way, I suppose it survives as its a captive audience at the shopping village.

Visited here today for lunch with a friend who seldom visits Clacton, don 't think she will be rushing back. No notice to say order at counter so sat for ages awaiting a staff member, of which there were plenty, to notice...none did. Not advised of procedure. Went to counter eventually to order food. No apology for the misunderstanding. I ordered a tuna mayonnaise jacket which the menu says comes with a salad garnish, coleslaw, cucumber, sweetcorn and red onion. It arrived with a small pile of iceberg lettuce. When I questioned the lack of accompaniments I was told by probably the most apathetic staff member I have ever encountered that these 'extras ' had to be requested! My friends ciabatta was cold and hard, almost inedible. Her salad garnish was also just a small pile of iceberg lettuce. We had to ask for the filthy table to be cleared and cleaned...difficult to believe in times of Covid, and again, the apathy with which this was done was palpable! Do these young women not realise that in this field of work they can double or triple their wages in gratuities just by being efficient and pleasant to their customers? I certainly won 't be returning.
