Soda El Guacimo - Tarcoles Costa Rica

This place holds special place in my heart. We come here every time we are in Costa Rica. Coffee is great, breakfast delicious and open air vibe in the middle of the mountain is lovely. Bathrooms were very clean and smelled really nice. Very traditional.

Our dinner plans failed so we ended up here just before closing (at 6pm) and we were glad we did. The Casado was plentiful, tasty, and very inexpensive at about $7.50 per person. Service was fantastic.

Sure enough it does not look fancy but oh my god the food, very local cuisine, great cooks, and portions are big. Prices very fair for the taste and portion

Lovely place by the side of the road to eat and refresh. Small goods like mixed nuts and ice cream and pastries. Clean bathrooms. Portions were good and meal was delicious. Service was timely and responsive. Casado con chorizo shown in picture.
