Black Rock Grill Tampa Priority Seating

The service was good, but the wait was quite long. When my meal arrived, the mahi mahi entrée was flavorful but didn’t taste very fresh. The waitstaff kindly exchanged it for shrimp tacos, which came in a round shape on top of the flour tortillas. However, the sweet potatoes were cold.

We've been visiting Black Rock for years, and the quality of the food has consistently been good. The service has been a bit inconsistent in the past, but last night it was excellent, making for a wonderful overall experience.

The pretzel was cold and hard, and the cheese dip seemed like it had been taken straight out of the refrigerator and left on a stone, only warming up after about ten minutes. The French onion soup was also cold. The potatoes arrived lukewarm, so the butter wouldn’t even melt. We were there to celebrate our son's birthday, and we ordered the complimentary volcanic dessert. Unfortunately, the brownie was cold and stale. The waitress made an effort, but it seemed like the kitchen struggled with everything they prepared.
