Bidrage med feedbackThis is a Lovely little Restaurant in Loch, which has slowly built up it's reputation since opening. Diana is the perfect host, and nothing is a problem to her. She is so friendly, and chats away to customers, which is so warm and welcoming. And the Food is always Fresh and amazing. The Burgers, and coffee is just right. The Hot Chilli Sauces are to die for. We are so lucky to have the Rustic Cacao in our local area. People come from miles around to experience the great food here. Keep up the good work.
With their outstanding cacoa milkshakes and delicious home cooked stew we were very glad we dropped in for lunch! We will be back!
Diana and Alan do great burgers but also use chilli in many of their offerings- eg savoury peanuts, home made chilli peanut butter, and a good range of sauces and pickled onions etc.The burgers are top class! Fresh and plentiful salad fillings, bacon, great beef or chicken, and their own blends of BBQ, satay, or chilli sauces. I had the Atomic Burger ($10) which was fairly "hot" but not overly powerful. There is an Atomic Death burger which is Alan's MOAB Doomsday Burger, for SERIOUS chilli fans only, but I wasn't game enough to escalate to Defcon One.My daughter had the standard BBQ Burger and proclaimed it excellent. Desert was home baked vanilla slice and lemon tart, both very good too. I finished with the traditional chilli hot chocolate, like the Aztecs used to drink. Different, but strangely addictive! I bought a packet to take away. They have a good range of tasty items to buy. This is maybe the best place to stop for a Burger for many miles, well worth its five stars. NOTE: a previous reviewer in January only gave one star. I can guess why. Diana's mother in Spain had a very serious accident around that time and Diana had to rush overseas for two months to nurse her mother. But all is well again, Diana is back, and you should not pay too much attention to that particular review, it is not typical!
Always a great experience! Browse in the shop for tasty tepenades, chutney & Chilli peanut butter! The food is fresh, delicious & priced well. Cakes are made by the gorgeous Spanish owner, who runs the business with her husband. Real hot chocolate to die for! A must to visit when in Loch.
We dropped in for a coffee. We ended up ordering apple slice, vanilla slice, hot chocolate & ice coffee. It was very tasty. The apple pie came with ice cream & the vanilla slice was perfect, light creamy/custard filling - sandwich between biscuit/pastry. Both drinks were excellent. The only downside are the calories lol!
