Multiple visits over multiple years at different times of the year and day. Universally excellent barbeque and quick service. Just head in here. They have a new craft beer place across the street where I presume you can carry in this awesome BBQ too.

I don’t know why it took me so long to write this review. But I’m finally getting around to it. Let me start off by saying that this is the best food you will find in Idaho springs!!!! Hands down!!!! I work here from out of town and this is my go to 3 days out of the week when I’m in town. No mattter what there special is that should always be your choice for the day. Their smoked turkey is the best I’ve ever had. The staff are friendly and always check up on you. If you haven’t ate here before, do yourself a favor and drop by.

Stopped here on the 71 and boy oh boy did I make the right decision. I had a brisket sandwich which was otherworldly. I put some spicy coleslaw and BBQ sauce on it and kissed my worries goodbye. The bun on that sandy should not go overlooked sesame seed hamburger bun that was slightly toasted and not too bready was perfect. Honourable mentions go to the non sweetened iced tea and plastic straws. It made me want to chant, USA, USA ... Get your shit together Canada. I also don 't want to sleep on the service. Friendly and accommodating, not to mention getting ID 'd when I ordered a PBR for only $3. Who needs a facelift at 40 when your 25 year old servers thinks you are under 21. Definitely looking forward to coming back, this place was smooooking!!!! Pie boy out!

Brisket is not of good quality. If you know the best Texas BBQ places this is far from it. If you re just hungry and would eat any type of meat go for it.

A beautiful location definitely lends to the atmosphere! This is a wonderful restaurant with a wide selection of food. It's menu gives you multiple choices on entrees and sides. It's not easy deciding! I enjoyed the half-chicken with smokey beans and fried pickles! It was well prepared and the portions were more than ample. My dining guest had the pulled pork with okra. It was also on point! I was impressed with the pricing at this restaurant. You definitely feel like you got your money's worth! The customer service and hospitality were outstanding!!! We were made to feel at home and comfortable. This is definitely a 5-star establishment! My only concern I will voice is about the sauce. I usually rate bbq places heavily on their ability to deliver a great sauce. I made an exception in this case. The sauce was a bit weak by my standards. However, when you take into account this is a very tourist dependent location, you realize the sauce is on point for the clientele.
