Oak Barrel Tavern - Sudbury

This bar has a great atmosphere, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by staff who seemed uninterested to the point of rudeness. When I inquired about which IPAs were hazy and which beer resembled a light beer, both the wait staff and bartender were clueless. The food appeared decent, but there was no way we were going to eat there that day. Hopefully, this was just an off day for them.

The wings are tasty, but the drinks are too watered down. The young lady at the front as a greeter should reconsider her outfit choices; you'll understand what I mean when you see it. No one wants to see beachwear while dining out. Additionally, the food options could be improved.

We recently relocated to the area and decided to try OBT, and it was absolutely delicious! My husband couldn't stop talking about his chicken wrap, claiming it had the best-seasoned chicken he's ever had. We highly recommend this place! Food: 5/5

First time sat at a very wobbly high top. Moved and the 2nd table was the same. Waitress put napkin under the leg. She was very attentive and helpful. Food was good. Quite a few kids yelling in the bar area but other than that it was enjoyable.Food: 4/5

Seemed like the best affordable dinner option in the area but unfortunately it did not impress. We got the fried calamari and it was mostly peppers. Opted for a seemingly healthier option of the teriyaki chicken breast (described as 2 chicken breasts with rice and steamed veggies) and it really lacked in flavor, the veggies were oily (not steamed) and the rice was obviously had butter in it. The teriyaki sauce was also kind of flavorless. I could cook a better dish. Also- who needs two entire chicken breasts? The smoked chicken carbonara was massive, extremely heavy/dense on the cheese sauce and I could not imagine eating more than a few bites. None of us could finish our meals, the portions were huge, but the prices were fitting for the amount you get. The ambiance is fine, typical American, but service was not great. Would maybe go back to try the salads or burgers but probably not.
